Converting Word Perfect Files

I have an Informix database that tracks and bills our medical cases. We have been keeping our results in Word Perfect 5.1 files. I wanted to integrate the 2 to allow for keyword searches and codifying each diagnosis. Does anyone have a way of converting and parsing these files for inclusion into different tables in a database?
