Umesh, What version of the engine are you running and what platform? We had similiar problems on DG platform running DGUX 3.10 and Informix Online 5.03. It had to do with blobs in the database. Evidently there was a bug with using tbcheck -cD <database> option on databases that contained blobs, so we had to run tbcheck -cD <database>:<table name> at the table level individually as opposed to performing it on the entire database. Let me know if you need additional info.
