Building default forms

Is it possible to get sformbld to generate a default form but not compile it? The reason I ask is that I have a number of tables in various applications that have char(1) fields. If there are more that 26 in any one table sformbld fails to do anything. If I could get it to generate the form I could edit the files the .per file to make some of the fields bigger. I know that this isn't ideal but I generally only want the forms for querying. Some of these tables are just too big to create the forms by hand.
