Informix procedure load problem

Hi, I have the following problem with CHOARE informix: Informix Version: 7.31-UD4 Operating system version SCO 5.0.6 When I try to load a big procedure to this database I get the error that the procedure exceds the maximum length. If I load the same procedure on the same informix version then the procedure is loaded succesfully The SCO version is 5.0.5 though. Can you please tell me that the problem is? Thanks, Vasilis

Your procedure is too big? How many characters are there in the procedure definition? 32KB? 64KB? Some other size? You should be able to create a procedure of 65535 characters; I've done so while testing the limits. CREATE PROCEDURE x() ... END PROCEDURE From the first C to the last E (or, if you document your procedures, the end of the documentation) should be less than 65536 characters. Newlines count. Carriage returns count.
