NE1 familiar with "IEExport"?

I'm not sure if this is an appropriate newsgroup for this question (please accept my apologies if not), but I think the IEExport utility relates to Informix. What I am looking for is some reference material that would help me "sort out" data that was exported into a single o/s file using IEExport. Thanks in advance for any assistance, Paul.

IEExport is not a standard Informix tool -- that's called DB-Export. Normally, the output format from DB-Export is a directory with a collection of files in it, one containing the SQL statements needed to recreate the database and the others containing the unloaded data from the tables in the database. You could have used (been given) a tape format output, in which case, you get a fragment of the schema followed by the data for the table just created, followed by more schema, and so on. Usually. There's also an option to create the schema in a file and leave just the data on tape. Or you could have something completely different. Is there any danger it was associated with IECC running on a Windows box of some sort? If so, there might have been a variant of DB-Export by the name IEExport. I'm not familiar with the details of that ancient (but not incredibly ancient) product. -- Jonathan Leffler #include <disclaimer.h> Email: jleffler@earthlink.net, jleffler@us.ibm.com Guardian of DBD::Informix v2003.04 -- http://dbi.perl.org/
