I'm saying that the addition of another CPU is likely to be a performance boost NO MATTER what. In no way did I imply that the engineer mistuned the engine. I'm saying that even HAD he mistuned the engine, it would still see a performance boost, in having the extra CPU. : Should I post the name of the Informix Engineer here? I see no need to, unless you feel he was particularily deserving of special praise. Please don't be so quick to jump. Please read what I write.
