DOS I-Net & Unix I-Star,Online

A consultant friend of mine asked me to post the following. My current knowledge of problem is limited so the question here will be very short. The basic question is will the below versions co-habitate together The are trying to setup a Unix <-> Dos system Running 4gl on the Dos side & Online on the Unix side They get the following error when trying to run Informix ISQL on the Dos side. -408 invalid message type received from sqlexec process They are running: MS-DOS 3.3 I-Net 2.10.06d bought recently 4gl 1.10.06e maybe 1 1/2 years old ISQL 2.10.06e bought within last year FTP 2.05 Interactive Unix 3.2.2 I-Star 4.00.UE1 Online 4.00.UE1 4gl ?
