Help! dbimport fails with our dbexport

As the subject says,
Our customer have taken a dbexport with Online 5.07
directly to tape, and they are trying to run a
dbimport into to a Dynamic Server Version 7.30.UC6.
dbimport complains that it found 'unmatched quotes'.
I _think_ that the problem is
that dbschema sticks in a LF in a complicated
constraints where the first quote is on e.g. line 10
and the closing quote is on line 11.
Then we had to use an editor to edit the dbschema.
Our _main_ problem are the dbschema is on tape and
we can't edit it. We a 'working' dbschema but still
we can't access our data.
Is there a workaround here? E.g just importing
the data and ignore the dbschema which are on tape, or
use som tools just to load the data to disk.
TIA

You can use the -f script option to use the modified schema.
