HELP: Falling thru wait lock with C-ISAM/MF COBOL on HPUX

We are experiencing a problem in which we are using the C-ISAM 6.x libraries with MicroFocus COBOL on and HP9000/800 system HPUX 9.04. The problem involves locking a record with the wait option set. Unfortunately the lock is not waiting indefinitely on the resource and it falls through with a record locking error. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. C.
