Hi all, Environment: IDS 7.31 UD4 SCO 3.2 9 Server with update anywhere. My Problem: The command : "cdr change group -d groupname replname" (to drop a replicate from a group) takes 50-60 sec to complete on definite server. Very, very slow :-( On the other servers with the same numbers of replicates and groups it takes only 1-3 sec to complete. The command: "cdr change group -a groupname replname" needs only 1-2 sec on all servers to complete. Any experiences, comments, hints are very appreciated. (Excuse my poor school english) Heinz

Very, very slow :-( The old group was a physical entity. That means that in order to remove a replicate from the group, you have to modify things which are currently in the queue. We replaced the group with the replicate set (replset) in 9.3. The replset is a logical entity and not a physical - and thus can handle these types of changes much quicker. > > On the other servers with the same numbers of replicates and groups it takes only 1-3 sec to complete. > > The command: "cdr change group -a groupname replname" needs only 1-2 sec on all servers to complete. > > Any experiences, comments, hints are very appreciated. > > (Excuse my poor school english) > > Heinz >
Thanks Medison for your quick answer. What do you means with "things which are currently in the queue" Which things ? which queue ? The command always needs 50-60 sec to complete on the server. Why are the other servers not so slow ? How can I recognize the differences between the servers at the time when i start the command. Can i check the queue? or: is there no possibility to speed up to command ? Thanks in advance.
