prob. with C1700A and informix
Howdy netters, I'm desperately trying to setup a HP1700A optical jukebox ( its actually C1700M, ROM uppgraded ) to work with Online 5.01 & StorageManager. I can insert platters to the jukebox and make family, but the volume creation fails ! Do you have any clues what is wrong ( I suppose that it is the smconfig, but I need more info to setup the smconfig ): - is the media HPME or HPMW ( the platters are 5" rewritable platters, order number 92280A ) - is the drive MIKE100 or HP1711 - is the correct jukebox path /dev/rac/ioctl0 ( what else it can be ?? ) - what is the paths for the drives ?? ( why they are needed ?? should the jukebox know the paths himself ??? ) - what device files there should be ??? who the owner should be what modes ?? - are any extra driver(s) needed ?? ( in the kernel there are autox0, autoch,disc3 and scsi1 ) The machine itself is HP9000/G30 and the OS is hp-ux ver. 9.0 !!!
