Informix/Fourgen Upgrade

I have a client with Fourgen 3.8x Accounting software. and Informix 4.0x SE, RDS on SCO plateform. The client plans on upgrading(rebuying) Informix to the most recent version(7.x). Of course they don't have support.... My current concern is: I seem to recall a problem with with Fourgen using rowids extensively in their programs. I thought this became a problem with Informix versions 6.x and up. Has anyone run into a problem with this. I do realize that I will need to get UCL's that are(or can be) compiled for 7.x Informix.
