Segmentation Fault (core dumped) on tbcheck -cc

Nightly, a tbcheck -cc is performed on an Informix 5.0 database. An error message of "Segmentation Fault (core dumped)" is passed.This check occurs when no users are connected to the database. Also, the database's statistics is updated frequently. There are over 100 tables in the database, with a few tables having over 100,000 rows. What could be causing a segmentation fault and a core dump? Thanks!
