That's where > I'd go if I wanted to work for a living ;-) This topic has been thrashed through at least three times in the past year. In each case the consensus was let them post. I suggest we drop it. I will add some new insights that did not come out over those last three times - primarily because I'm job hunting. While it is certainly wise to post job openings into the two groups you mentioned, it is also smart from the head hunters point of view to post applicable jobs to the group of people who are best qualified to read them. 1 - maybe I'm not looking and I see something that sparks my interest. 2 - I AM looking and guess what? There are 8 'jobs' groups, umpteen web pages and few of them are set up to search by technical skill. I have worked with a very good headhunter from my chosen geogprahic area and discovered that they can find some good opportunities - but not as many or as applicable as the ones that can float across this group. In fact it turned out that the best possibility HAD floated across this group. This group is the bulletin board where all of us with a like technical bent go to find out what's going on. "What's going on" includes everything from soup, press releases, parties, technical questions, and job posts to nuts. It's been ok so far - let's let it continue. cheers j. ________________________________________________________________________ Jack Parker - Hewlett Packard, DMD/IS Boise, Idaho, USA jparker@boi.hp.com Currently on loan to PLD/PE ________________________________________________________________________ Outside of a dog a book is a man's best friend.
