It may be /dev/null. With version 6 or 7 the logical logs are not freed until they are needed. Unfortunately you cannot tell when your logical logs are really full, as they always show full and never show that they are free. If your tape device is directed to /dev/null in your onconfig then you might not have a problem at all. At least not with log files being full. What happens when you try to bring up your instance ??? Error messages ??? or what? Keep communicating. If we (those responding) are off the mark, give us more info. and hopefully your problem will soon be resolved. Later, Joe
