If anyone is using OmniBack II 2.50, get 2.55 ASAP. 2.50 has been flaky, and HP actually stopped shipping it before 2.55 was available. Having said that..... ODS 7.23UC5, OmniBack II 2.55, HP-UX 10.20, with a 32 platter 2 drive magneto-optical jukebox. We're looking at around 8 to 10 gb of data to start with, in multiple 2gb drives. Starting to test Informix on the machine, so far looks pretty reasonable. One of the tasks is disaster recovery. I'm anticipating doing a complete backup once per day, with logical logs as necessary (via alarm program). This is probably a little overkill.
