Implict Update Statistics

Within the last few weeks one of our WEB applications hangs because the DB never responds. After some investigation we have found that the connection is running an update statistics on a large table. The update statistics run for almost an hour. We have run OnCheck -cI on the table and it did not find eny problems. There is no update statistics in the program so I do not know where the update statistics is coming from. I am working with our DBAs and we arestuck and would appreciate any help. Database system: Informix 7.31 on MPRAS UNIX Client System: Visual Basic 6.0 dll in MTS Informix ODBC driver 3.34 Thanks, Shannon
