Hello everybody, in my newly set up server IDS7.31 on HPUX I get some files i /tmp like -rw------- 1 root informix 8192 7 Mar 10:24 ove0017326_263 -rw------- 1 root informix 8192 7 Mar 10:24 ove0017326_264 -rw------- 1 root informix 8192 7 Mar 10:24 ove0017326_265 -rw------- 1 root informix 8192 7 Mar 10:24 ove0017326_266 -rw------- 1 root informix 8192 7 Mar 10:24 ove0017326_267 -rw------- 1 root informix 8192 7 Mar 10:24 ove0017326_268 -rw------- 1 root informix 8192 7 Mar 10:24 ove0017326_269 -rw------- 1 root informix 8192 7 Mar 10:24 ove0017326_270 -rw------- 1 root informix 8192 7 Mar 10:24 ove0017326_271 -rw------- 1 root informix 8192 7 Mar 10:24 ove0017326_272 -rw------- 1 root informix 8192 7 Mar 10:24 ove0017326_273 since all my years with IDS I see this for the first time and cannot find any reason for them. They appear and disappear. Can anyone tell me what these files are for? Thanks Martin

Hi, Could it be something like temporary sort-work-files ? No place anymore in temp dbspace so files are created in /tmp ? Do you have DBTEMP and PSORT_DBTEMP variables set ?
