Error compiling using ESQL/C

One of my friend encountered the following while trying to compile an ESQL/C program on a SUN machine. ld:fatal: file=/opt/informix/lib/esql/libsql.a(iqsend.o): relocation [R_SPARC_WDISP30] value 276c9 (symbol stat) results in dropping bits Any help about this??
