Actually, although that will work on Windows (95/NT) platforms, on Unix,
that header does not exist:
$ ls /usr/informix/7.21.UC1/incl/esqlblob.h locator.h sqlhdr.h sqlxtype.h xa.h
datetime.h sqlca.h sqlstype.h value.h
decimal.h sqlda.h sqltypes.h varchar.h
$
However, on Unix, sqlhdr.h is always included in the C code, and sqlhdr.h
does provide prototypes -- provided that __STDC__ is defined. If __STDC__
is not defined, no prototypes are in force.
Also, there is no compulsion to use $include in preference to #include;
there is no code in sqlproto.h that helps the ESQL/C preprocessor out, so
if you use #include, only the C preprocessor gets to worry about sqlproto.h.
