I'm quite new to the world of Informix, but have you looked at the Online Documentation that comes on the CD, they call it "Answers Online?" It's quite comprehensive, or so I've found at this point. If you have already looked over that information and find it lacking, I don't have any advice for you as I'm pretty new. Just trying to do my part to contribute to the public pool of knowledge. I'm pretty sure you can request written documentation (for a fee) from Informix, but it's just the printed version of the Answers Online from what I've heard.
