(of course I tried to be helpful anyway. ;-) ) I certainly implied that this was dumb because I knew what they really wanted was a way to search some fields in some tables. If they want this to happen faster they could execute all of the queries in parallel or some of the queries in parallel based on some throttle mechanism. If they want this to be really fast they will have to be more sophisticated. I can think of some very clever things to do.
