moving text BLOBS?

I need to extract existing text BLOB data from one table and insert the BLOB into a different table using only ISQL ( not 4GL, ESQL/C, etc. ) for a bunch of records! Has anyone developed a simple technique that works around the quotes, commas, etc. that occur in the free form text and that seem to confuse any attempt at writing an acceptable SQL insert statement?
