Upgrade path for Informix-SE 7.24?

Hi. I'm trying to figure out where we can go from a current system: Informix-SE 7.24.UC7 (12/4/1998) ESQL/C, Ace, Perform HP 9000 D230 HP-UX 10.20 The above runs a custom MRP suite. As I understand it the Ace/Perform requirements (too many bits to migrate) restrict us to Informix-SE. So, the open questions are: 1. If all we want is to get faster hardware, what later HP 9000 systems will this Informix-SE version run on? 2. Is this version compatible with HP-UX 11? 3. If we upgrade to a "newer" version of Informix-SE, what will that give us? 4. Is there a preferred Informix-SE / HP 9000 / HP-UX combination we should be aiming for? All suggestions/experiences most welcome! --Steve Klein

I had been under the impression that there was binary compatibility to the very latest HP kit, but I'm not an expert. > 2. Is this version compatible with HP-UX 11? Doubt it. > 3.
