INFORMIX DB on CDROM

I am creating a large INFORMIX database on a PC. The database will eventually be at least 1Gbyte. The application I am writing is in 4GL/ESQLC running in Windows and, briefly, does the following: Allows the user to query the database for information relevant to an analysis tool. Runs said analysis tool. The application allows the user to query the database for historical data to compare the analysis results with. Compares results of analysis with historical data (graphically and/or analytically). All that background aside my problem is this: I want the final product to be CD-ROM based. NOT distributed on CDROMs with an installation to a local hard-drive, but actually have the database running off the CD-ROM, obviously the application/db engine would be locally installed. I am interested in speaking with people who have done this kind of thing and any lessons learned they may have to offer. I realize many of the inherent problems of INFORMIX spanning volumes (ie tables can't span volumes), but how can you create a database through INFORMIX through a CD-ROM writer? I guess, my fundamental questions are: How to get a CD-ROM writer to behave such that INFORMIX can create a databse on it? Is there anything inherent in INFORMIX that would preclude doing this? Is there anything inherent in CD-ROM writers that would preclude doing this? Any hardware/software recommendations for CD-ROM writers?
