Re: Informix 5 / Solaris 2.4

Yes, it's possible. I'm doing it with 5.03.UC1 OnLine; I'd not expect any problems with older versions. I did have to ensure that my kernel was configured, though. I modified the file /etc/system to include the lines: * * Set the value of 'enable_sm_wa' to 1 to allow for the reliable * operation of SPARCstation 10 Model 514 set enable_sm_wa = 1 set semsys:seminfo_semmap=64 set semsys:seminfo_semmni=4096 set semsys:seminfo_semmns=4096 set semsys:seminfo_semmnu=4096 set semsys:seminfo_semume=64 set shmsys:shminfo_shmmax=16777216 set shmsys:shminfo_shmmin=100 set shmsys:shminfo_shmmni=100 set shmsys:shminfo_shmseg=100 This gave me 16 MB of shared memory total, and far more semaphores than I need. One of these days, I'll trim those numbers.
