4GL Compile Warning: Global CSE elimination ....

Sorry I don't have versions, etc., before me since I'm home, but --- I'm migrating a client's 4GLs from 4.something to 6.something. From the c4gl I get this warning from .ec step: Global CSE elimination suppressed; function is too long. This line is the last line in the module and is a return. What's the meaning?
