Help needed with logical logs backup

Logical logs continuous backup via cron on Online Ver 5.0 I know Informix does not support this method of backup but we would, neverthe- less, like to pursue this option. I was told there were recent postings on this subject in this newsgroup and solutions were offered. Could those who posted solutions help me out by sending your scripts for us to adapt? 1. One of the problems I encountered while trying to set up a script to do just this is sending an interrupt signal to tell tbtape to quit. Somehow it wouldn't listen. But if tbtape was running on a dedicated terminal, giving it an interrupt signal via kill or from the keyboard works. Does anyone know why? 2. If one has several online instances and would like to extend the same logical logs backup capability via cron to all instances, how would something like this be implemented?
