Need Help with OWS 7.2 and NT

Hello out there, I've written a short ESQL/C program for testing purposes, which connects to a database server and retrieves some columns of the table "systables" (SELECT tabname, tabid, tabtype from syscolumns order by tabname). This little program is working fine. But there is one NT based server, where I get only strange results like: Fetch Tabname=Z, tabid=0, tabtype= Fetch Tabname=[, tabid=0, tabtype= Fetch Tabname=c, tabid=0, tabtype= Fetch Tabname=', tabid=0, tabtype= Fetch Tabname=', tabid=0, tabtype= Does anybody know this problem? I have no more ideas what is going wrong here! Please help!!! Any hints are welcome!!! Thanks in advance...
