hi, i'm in trouble! :( after days of testing, i still haven't found out how to make an ado connection to informix database with its ole db provider (from informix client sdk 2.30) in vb6. the followings are the variables i can use: Dim cn As ADODB.Connection Dim rs As ADODB.Recordset Dim sPvdr As String 'ifxoledbc.2(?) ifxoledbc(?) ????? Dim sDB As String 'infobase Dim sSrvr As String 'ifmx Dim sHost As String 'ifmx Dim sProtocol As String 'olsoctcp Dim sUID As String 'admin Dim sPwd As String 'admin Dim sCnStr As String '?????? Dim sServ As String 'ifmx all of them look useful. but what should i put into the connection string? and how it should be organized? any input are appreciated. thanx in advance. rgds, thenard Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Share what you know.
