Yes and No. There is a way to make a 7.1 system recognize rowids to make it backward compatible with 5.X. Rowids are no longer used due to fragmented tables. You only have to use the backward compatibility feature on those tables that are updated by rowid. The backward compatibility requires an additional integer column in each database table. -- Jerry M.
