DAL (Data Access Language), if you remember, is Apple's standard way of accessing remote Data. An ODBC interface has been added on top. Like SequeLink, ODBC/DAL does not run over I-NET. We provide our own DBMS independent transport. If your host machine Unix you could call AGE at 508-898-3300 for more information. Otherwise I would call Independence Techgnologies at 510-438-2000. If you have any questions feel free to email me. I hope this is helpful.
