EXPLAIN ON !
How can I get the directory where the informix.out is located ? (ie. c:\\Informix\\sqexpln) I want to get it in application? Is it in any system tables? Thynks Rok

When you 'SET EXPLAIN ON' the engine creates the sqexplain.out file in your home directory on the server. So if you are connected by remote you have to login to the server or ftp or rcp the file from the server to your client to look at it. There is a table syssqexplain in the sysmaster database but it does not give as much information as the sqexplain.out file does. Art S.
