BAAN / IFX versions

Have a question about Baan with Informix for a customer. They currently have Baan 3.1 with the Baan database. As an Informix customer with a growing database, they want to convert the backend to IDS. Does anyone know of any customers running the 3.1 apps with Informix 7.30/7.31 IDS on Unix? If so, are there things to watch out for when doing the conversion? Will there be a large performance hit when changing from a file-system database to a relational database? Any information provided will be appreciated.
