Wanted: European Companies to Distribute 3GL/4GL/Database Tools

We are the international distributors of a range of tools and applications which work with 3GL and 4GL applications, and most of the database products, in the Unix, VAX/VMS, DOS, MS-Windows and X-Windows environments. More than 100,000 licences have been sold worldwide. We are looking for distributors in Europe and beyond (excluding Italy, Israel, The Netherlands, Norway and UK) to market and support one or more of our software products. Experience with the major database software products and tools in all (or most) of the above system environments is necessary. Ideally, a distributor should have strong regional representation. A desirable requirement is that they be connected to the Internet. The Products: Most of our products are designed for software developers and some are enduser tools. They cover the following areas:- - Graphing data on VT-style and graphics terminals, in windows and on a wide range of printers (Development and runtime licences); - Automatic report generation (incorporating both text and graphs); - Spreadsheet with links to the major databases; - Runtime spreadsheet engine (can be built into applications as a background or foreground calculating/modelling engine); - Database Publishing software incorporating automatic table building and graph generation (currently Unix only, but moving to MS-Windows); - FrameMaker publishing tools. The Markets: The graphing tool, the automatic report generation and the spreadsheet runtime software are usually purchased by developers in software houses and in corporate IT departments to enhance their own 3GL and 4GL software, and client-server applications. In fact, some of our tools have already been added to the products of other tool providers (Report writers, SQL tools, etc.). There is also an enduser version of the graphing tool and, of course, the spreadsheet (for both character and GUI environments). The Database Publishing software is mainly used by organisations wishing to automatically produce publication-quality reports and documents from their applications and databases, and to include dynamic table building and automatic graphing of the data. As well, modules of this software are provided to developers to add high quality output to their applications. Users of FrameMaker are usually very interested in the FrameMaker toolkit.
