an alternative to PERFORM

Still have several apps in use that are primarily PERFORM screens, ACE reports and simple menus. Has anyone found a solution that requires as little code as PERFORM and offers query by example on any field? I want to move on but coding is not my strong point. Any backend will do - its the frontend that will determine. Joel in Toronto
