Help Needed! - 461 Error Encountered

Hi, I've encountered a -461 when I tried to open a database in an esql/c application program. Finderr -461 returns the follown "File open error. This statement transfers a value between a file and a BYTE or TEXT column. Since the locator structure field loc_loctype was set to LOCFNAME, the database server tried to open the file using the pathname in loc_fname and the flags in loc_oflags. An operating-system error was returned. Check the accompanying ISAM error code for more information, and look for operating-system messages. Typical causes include lack of disk space, file permission problems, and limits on the number of open files." What kind of file is this referring? I've checked my filesystem and there's no lack of disk space. As I do not know what kind of file it's referring to, I can't check for file permission. Is there any way I can check for no of open files?? Thanks for any help rendered. Regards, Tim
