Business Objects, setnet32 and dirty read
Posted in 1999
Hi all, Informix Dynamic Server Version 7.30.UC6 Informix setnet32 Version 7.2 I am sure that this question must have been asked before, so I apologise in advance as I can't find the answer in the archives. We use Business Objects to connect to an Informix database. The database is an OLTP production one, non ANSI with logging, and therefore has a default isolation of committed read. Business Objects users keep coming across locked rows when running reports, causing the report execution to fail. Row locking is used on all tables. As far as I know, you cannot set the isolation level as an environment variable via setnet32. Has anyone found a solution to this?
