I talked with Randy at Wells recently, apparently they have discovered a bug with the new quick attach feature in Online 7.3. When they quick attach a fragment to the table, the statistics get corrupted. The only way to fix it is running an update statistics...well you can image that on 3.5 billion rows that is not a good thing. Thought you might be interested in this.
