If so, the answer is, "It can't be done -- at least, no way has been found to-date." 4GL requires the existence of characters to "draw" the sides and corners of the border box, which don't exist in the font's used by the {cmd, shell}tool terminal emulators. A common work-around is to use xterm instead of {cmd, shell}tool. xterm does support the border characters, as I understand. I've never tried it myself. Any utility that *closely* emulates a VTxxx terminal should do. I suppose that a truly VTxxx compitable OW font would in fact work. If you know of one, I'd appreciate hearing about it. Once you settle on the replacement utility, you will still have to set up the termcap entry as S.T.Wheeler pointed out. There are some user-developed termcaps in ftp://mathcs.emory.edu/pub/informix/pub/termcaps.
