what i did with IDS7.3 and ESQL/C 7.23 was: install IDS 7.3 install esqlc 7.23 re-install IDS 7.3 the thing is you have to install older version before newer one (in order not to get the message file error), but you can't install esqlc without some things IDS gives you.... note that linking the message files as suggested below might (as i was told) gives you wrong error messages some times either in ESQL/C or IDS. best regards, Nir.
