Dear All
I shearch the manner to redirect the database backup /restore process (based
upon ontape) to a file (not the logs)
I have found that the only (bad) soluce is to increase the TAPEBLK (ex: 16 to
128000) . but with the limit of memory ram, it's not a good idea
So i continue to search a better efficient soluce
If someone have a good idea , i'm happy to ear it.
Greeting to all
In the
directory where you want to save the file do -
touch savefile
chown informix:informix savefile
chmod 660 savefile
Run onmonitor
Archive/Tape
Make the backupdevice savedir/savefile
block siz 1024
tape size 100000000
run ontape -s
Oh that on barwas this simple :-(
