I don't doubt that the IBM IDS team isn't doing things to promote IDS to the IT Industry. But just how effective are they? Clearly the industry press doesn't consider IBM outside of DB2. The same problem with this story/author: http://www.itjungle.com/tug/tug032708-story07.html This author also doesn't even mention IDS. This happens because their is no product awareness created by IBM marketing. The market still believes that IBM is selling only one database system, the dual database strategy is not recognized. The author also claims that DB2-Express-C was formerly Cloudscape. Oh no, what an affront against Cloudscape :-)
