Re: Universal Server - multiple inserts from an AppPage

I have. We had the same problem during our port early last year and when you select multiple items on the html form, our perl NSAPI parser would validate then cat all of the values together and delimit them with ':;:'. Since Id rather use C than SPL, I wrote a C routine that goes in and tokenizes (strips out the ':;:') the input and then inserts the input to the database. The C routine gets compiled into a shared object library (.so) that is loaded by IUS when needed. You call the C routine (function if it returns back a value, procedure if not) from an MISQL tag after the routine had been registered to the DB server. The C call that tokenizes a string is strtok (or strtok_r to be MT safe).
