"cdr define server" for enterprise replication

Servers: HP-UX Risc (11.11) and Solaris 10 (Intel)
Database engine: 11.70 (both sides)
We can 't run a "cdr define server" on a server after we have run a
"cdr delete server":
On the master:
informix@elvis1:~/scripts/migration$ cdr list server
SERVER ID STATE STATUS QUEUE CONNECTION CHANGED
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
g_socelvis 10 Active Local 0
On the instance:
informix@refectus:~/luke> onstat -g nif
IBM Informix Dynamic Server Version 11.70.FC4 -- On-Line -- Up 00:18:29
-- 3313264 Kbytes
Enterprise Replication is not active.
informix@refectus:~/luke> cdr define server -c ipcelpak1 -A
/opt/informix/atsdir -R /opt/informix/risdir -I g_socelpak1_r -S
g_socelvis
command failed -- Enterprise Replication already defined (92)
informix@refectus:~/luke> cdr delete server g_socelpak1
command failed -- Enterprise Replication not active (62)
We don't have any connectivity issues and we can run a "cdr define
server", just not after we have deleted the server.
Is there anyway we can get rid of the ER configuration so that we can
re-define it?

Response:
So you did a cdr delete server on both sides? If you check on server
g_socelpak1, does a syscdr database exist already (if it does that's what's
causing the problems)? I was able to get into the same error message as you by
only running the cdr delete server on 1 side (in your case it would be the
g_socelvis instance), but then on the 2nd server, all I did was run cdr stop.
If you do that, it looks like the 2nd instance doesn't have cdr on it, but
syscdr database will still exist and so you can't redefine it.

You might need to run "cdr delete server... --force" on the server in
question.; It looks like for some reason that we were not able to del=
ete
the syscdr database when you initially ran "cdr delete server".

Thanks for this. This though has now though happened a couple of times on Solaris 10, Intel, with the lastest release of Informix. Umm.... When I have a little more time I might test to see if there's a bug in Informix or a bug in my typing.
