remote forms problem

I am trying to run the isql from one of our back office terminal to the =
server and I am having some difficutly. I'll explain how I set it up =
and if you have done this or have any ideas please send them along
On the Client:
1.Loaded ISQL Runtime
2.edited sqlhosts (added info about connection to server ontlitcp)
3.edited /etc/services (added a port for my database service name)
On the server:
1. Edited onconfig with entry
NETTYPE ontlitcp,,,
2. edited sqlhosts=20
When I try to run the forms remotely I receive an error which says:
"Attempt to connect to database server (njtcdcs) failed" and the =
database on the server goes offline.
