ANNOUNCE: Another update statistics utility

At the IIUG repository at: http://www.iiug.org/software/index_DBA.html You'll find a package called upd_stats, which when unpacked you'll find updstats and xupdstats, both written in perl and requiring DBD::Informix (and in turn, ESQL/C). The updstats utility generates optimal update statistics statements according to the Informix Performance Guide (Please correct me if I've misinterpreted them), and the xupdstats utility executes them in parallel, sending each batch of statements updating a table to a forked process, and as each batch finishes, another is sent. This utility does not offer the abundance of options that Art's dostats utility does, e.g. as far as I know only the 7.xx Online Engine is supported.
