SCO OpenServer and Informix 7.2 info/question
Posted in 1997
I have a question, but first some information that will hopefully save
someone from my hairpulling problem today. The Informix installation from
CD-ROM simply states that you use cpio -icdvBum /dev/cd0, but all I got was
an error. However, I could mount the CD and then use cpio on the file
found there...
# cd $INFORMIXDIR
# mount -r /dev/cd0 /mnt
# cpio -icdvBum /mnt/SE.CPI
---------------------------Now my question! (Its been 14 years since I used Informix, so I'm a little
behind...)
I have installed SE and want to play with the demo database locally. I
tried the sqlexecd program, but I get "...Communications service not
supported by network driver."???
My sqlhosts file contains:
...
demo_se seipcpip se_hostname sqlexec
Thanks for any help,
Steve
