Hi Folks! Im having some problems when running Update Statistics , because some 4GL batch programs get the ISAM error "Record locked" in Systables... Does command "wait" work this around? Shouldn't i run update with any batch program?Then what if yu really dont have another time to run this programs?when to run Update? TIA.. DSA 7.30 UC7 - HPUX 10.20

Yes, just have your apps call "SET LOCK MODE TO WAIT 5" as the locks that UPDATE STATISTICS holds are momentary only. Art S.
