You do need I-Star for your server and I-Net for the client. It's possible that the I-Connect product that's freely awailable via http://www.intraware.com could also work on the client, but you still need I-Star on the server. Both I-Net and I-Star are products you have to purchase from Informix. I don't think they are available from the Intraware site or otherwise on the web. With a server upgrade (to version 7.x) you wouldn't need I-Star on the server and I-Connect is free.
